Cut the BS. It is time to really own. your. desires.
It is time to stand in your power, in your light, and own desires that are truly coming from your essence and from your heart.
Why do we make life so complicated? We twist our authentic wants into narratives, or worse, resorting to manipulation, lying, and cheating to get what we want.
Think about it. How much energy do you pour into justifying what you want, seeking external validation? Why can't you just come out and say it?
You want to look a certain way? Say it.
You want more money, more pleasure? Own it.
You want to move to a mountain and just meditate? Own that too.
Forget the convoluted paths, the endless justifications, and the spiritual gymnastics.
Now, I am not talking about any reckless desires that are coming from just the mind or trauma conditioning, or from other influences that are not from your highest light and your essence.
I'm talking about desires that are coming from your heart, in alignment with who you really are.
Again, I'm not saying every random impulse is some sacred truth. And no, you absolutely should question whether a desire comes from true alignment.
BUT, if you're in alignment, and those desires bubble up—the ones that feel deeply resonant, truly yours—then yes, own them.
It is impossible to escape this fundamental human wiring: We are literally born from desires.
So, you are not separate from desires.
Even the desire to not have a desire itself is a desire.
It is the distortion of these natural desires, not their existence, that separates us from truth.
When you're told your genuine desires from the heart are wrong, shameful, or must be hidden, and you believe those lies, you’re going to feel bound and powerless. Because you will likely suppress your desires, and believe you’re bad or wrong for having those desires.
Such beliefs are what fuel the manipulation, the lying, the cheating because you believe have no choice but to conform to a narrative that is not truly yours.
But, if the desires are coming from your truth and highest light, you cannot deny those desires either, especially when you become more in alignment to truth. Because if you avoid your desires, you are trying to transcend something that's integral to your physical reality and essence, and that does not work.
And, you disowning your desires directly feeds the illusion of being stuck, which prevents you from truly living in alignment with who you really are and knowing yourself.
So, the questions become:
How do you know what desires are coming from the heart? You can read my post to this here
And, if you believe that certain desires from your HEART are inherently "wrong" or "shameful," how can you unshackle from that if you keep buying into that illusion? More to come.
What about the discomfort, the fear, and the inevitable grief that often accompanies stepping into your truth?
True freedom is not about denying our physical reality or our inherent desires; it's about embracing our desires consciously and with clear discernment.
When we stop fighting ourselves and start owning our authentic desires, we stop operating from a place of perceived lack, and start stepping into our inherent worthiness and power.
Conclusion:
Embracing your authentic desires is the first courageous step towards true liberation. But what happens when owning those desires leads you to the edge of what you've known?
In our next post, we'll delve into this - the inevitable grief that accompanies with stepping into your truth.
